Bear mattresses use high-quality foams that have little to no smell. If there is any scent when first unpacking your mattress, it is typically very slight, similar to a new pair of sneakers, and should dissipate within a couple of days.
This is completely normal for compressed bed-in-a-box mattresses and is not harmful.
