Celliant® and Phase Change Cooling are two different technologies designed to improve your overall sleep experience in different ways.
While both are focused on comfort and recovery, they serve very different purposes.
Celliant®
Celliant® is Bear’s signature recovery-focused sleep technology woven directly into the mattress cover fabric on most adult Bear mattresses.
Celliant® is made using mineral-based technology designed to absorb natural body heat and convert it into infrared energy.
That infrared energy is then reflected back to the body and is designed to help support:
• Restorative sleep
• Recovery-focused comfort
• Overall sleep wellness
• Temperature balance throughout the night
• Relaxation and overnight recovery
Unlike traditional cooling materials, Celliant® is not designed to make the mattress feel cold to the touch.
Instead, it is designed to work continuously throughout the night alongside your body’s natural heat.
Celliant® is featured in the covers of most adult Bear mattresses and is one of the technologies that helped make Bear especially popular among athletes and active lifestyles.

Phase Change Cooling
Phase Change Cooling is designed specifically for advanced temperature regulation and cooling performance.
Unlike Celliant®, which focuses more on recovery-focused infrared technology, Phase Change material is designed to help pull excess heat away from the body to create a cooler sleep surface.
It works by:
• Absorbing excess body heat
• Helping regulate sleep temperature
• Providing a cooler-to-the-touch sleep surface
• Reducing heat buildup throughout the night
Phase Change Cooling is especially popular among hot sleepers or customers who prefer a cooler sleep environment.
Phase Change Cooling is included with the Bear Elite Ultra Hybrid and available as an optional upgrade on select models for an additional $186.
Please Note
• Celliant® focuses primarily on recovery-focused infrared sleep technology
• Phase Change Cooling focuses primarily on active temperature regulation and cooling
• Many customers choose mattresses that combine both technologies for a more premium recovery-focused sleep experience
