Standard FedEx deliveries are typically delivered to the main delivery area of your home or building where you normally receive your FedEx packages. You do not need to be home at the time of delivery unless Signature Required delivery was selected during checkout.
For houses, this is usually:
- Front porch
- Garage area
- Front door
- Driveway
For apartments or condos, this may include:
- Lobby
- Mailroom
- Front desk
- Package room
FedEx drivers generally do not:
Carry mattresses upstairs or into upper-level apartments
Bring mattresses into bedrooms or specific rooms within the home
Assemble bed frames, foundations, or adjustable bases
Unbox or remove mattress packaging materials
Move existing furniture within the home
Remove old mattresses or dispose of existing sleep products
Perform in-home setup services
- Standard FedEx delivery is considered threshold or main delivery area delivery only. Final package placement is determined by the FedEx driver based on accessibility, safety, building policies, weather conditions, driveway length, and delivery conditions.
- For some homes, large mattress boxes may be left at the end of a driveway, near a garage, or at another accessible delivery location if the driver determines it is the safest available placement area for delivery.
- If you need in-home setup and removal services, we recommend selecting White Glove Delivery where available during the checkout process for an additional cost
